We logged some miles on the road and the web this week and this is what’s hot and trending in running:
In many developing countries, walking is a primary mode of transportation. Each day millions face the dangers of cuts, fungus, contaminated soil and insect bites that lead to infection, disease, amputation and death.
Providing safe, sturdy shoes could help end this cycle.
Because we run different speeds and distances for different reasons, one of our favorite things to do at RUN NORTH is to interview runners and hear their stories.
Our running friend, Kristine Lammi, has set a goal to run 10 races this year.
Before we dive into her interview, let’s all give her a round of applause!

THE DULUTH LAKEWALK
Just over 4 miles of shoreline, this path is perfect for walkers, runners and bikers. It’s also the perfect place to meet a friend after work, chat about the day as you run down n’ back and sneak into one of the local restaurants in Canal Park for a post-run beverage and appetizer.
Otherwise, hopping onto the Lakewalk early in the morning is always peaceful and quiet. You may even see a ship or two entering or leaving the port. In the summer, it is flooded with city visitors. In the colder months, you’ll quickly find out who’s truly dedicated to running.
